Accessibility
Our website has been built to be accessible to everyone. We have incorporated the following features to help you read our pages.
Use of Colours
Where text is displayed we use strongly contrasting colours. Black text on white backgrounds on main text areas, and either white on dark blue or dark-grey text on white backgrounds for menus and sub menus. Links retain the standard blue text in bold and underlined and black for sub menus.
Selecting Larger Text
The text for all pages is set to larger than normal, however it can
be enlarged further by two sizes. The default is set to medium sized
text.
To change the text size: Go to "View" on your browsers menu bar and
point to "text size". change the text to either "larger" or "largest".
Use of "ALT TAGS"
All our Images use "ALT Tags" and "Title Tags" where necessary. If a picture does not show you will see the ALT TAG behind it. This is a description of the image. Also if you hover your mouse over the image the description will roll down. This is a feature useful for screen readers.
Use of XHTML and CSS
Our website is written in XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS and is screen reader friendly.
Use of Access Keys
All our pages incorporate "Access Keys" to ease navigation. Access keys are keyboard shortcuts which can be used to send you to all the major areas of our website. Access Keys are activated by pressing and holding ALT and tapping the appropriate linking number or key, and then clicking enter or return on your keyboard.
Our Access Keys are as follows:
| Page | Access Key | To activate press |
| Home Page | I | ALT + I |
| Help Page | H | ALT + H |
| Search Page | S | ALT + S |
| Sitemap Page | M | ALT + M |
| About PCA | 1 | ALT + 1 |
| Services | 2 | ALT + 2 |
| Projects | 3 | ALT + 3 |

| News | 5 | ALT + 5 |

Home Page
You can go back to the Home Page at anytime by clicking on the Home link at the top next to the page title (Home/Help/Search/Sitemap) or by clicking on the PCA logo.
Breadcrumb Navigation
Each page has a breadcrumb navigation aid under the menu bar. This gives the user a way to keep track of their locations within website
Search Facility
We have provided a basic Search Facility powered by Google. It will temporarily take you away from the website whilst the search terms are found and then bring you back to the page you are looking for.
Main Menu
The main menu e.g. About PCA, Services, Projects etc. are available on every page. Within each page there may be a sub menu - usually on the left inviting you to a sub section. Minor links usually titled "further information" are available on the right. You should hopefully be able to find your way back to the start of the section at any point.
Each section has a different find image at the top. These will change from time to time. Do have a look at them closer (click on the image), they will be amazing finds that we have come across on our sites and projects.
