Jenny Proctor BA MA MIFA
Post Excavation Manager
Telephone: 0191 377 1111
Jenny's love of archaeology began as a Teesside schoolgirl in the
1980s. She left for the bright lights to study the subject at the Institute
of Archaeology in London and graduated with a BA Honours degree before
gaining an MA in Scientific Methods in Archaeology from Bradford University.
After nearly a year learning her trade with the Essex Field Archaeology
Unit she joined PCA in 1995, supervising several notable fieldwork projects
and taking a number of these through to publication. Joining the Northern
Office in 2000, she immediately directed the major excavation of an Iron
Age/Romano-British site at Pegswood Moor in Northumberland and several
other fieldwork projects. Jenny - a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists
at MIFA level - took over as Post-excavation Manager for the Northern
Office in 2003, a position she retains today. She has two daughters and
lives with them and her partner in rural South Northumberland.
