Two trenches were investigated at the site. Natural sandy gravels were recorded between 31.90m OD and 32.20m OD.

One sherd of residual Roman pottery was recovered.

A small number of extensive features of unknown function were uncovered. These were dated approximately to the 13th/14th centuries and were cut by a number of late Medieval features, including post-holes which may have represented late Medieval/ early Post-Medieval timber buildings.

A small number of extensive features of unknown function including post-holes may have represented a late Medieval/ early Post-Medieval timber buildings. In situ masonry footings of a possible 16th century building were recorded. A 19th century well and soakaway were also recorded. A thick deposit of a 19th century demolition rubble overlay most of the site.
