The site consisted of a pipeline, which ran along the southern side of Choats Road, from the edge of Chequers lane in the east, 880m to the west.

Natural deposits of alluvium were recorded between -0.55m above OD to 1.30m above OD and were sealed by 20th century made ground. To the west of the site peat was recorded underlying the alluvium.
