An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the ground works associated with the construction of a house extension and porch. A natural deposit of clay silt, containing a large amount of natural limestone, was observed but the depth could not be determined. 19th century made ground, overlaid by a layer of topsoil, sealed the natural deposit. No evidence of activity on site prior to the 19th century was revealed.
