Natural soliflucted chalks sealed by a layer of glacial sandy silty natural were recorded across the site. Severe truncation was identified on the west side reflecting the original 20th century house. In the east, cutting through the natural layer, was a pit of possible post-18th century date. A layer of modern subsoil overlain by topsoil sealed both the feature and the natural.
