Natural clay was recorded between 78.95m and 76.26m OD.
The excavation of three trench revealed evidence for late 19th/early
20th century activity and levelling, with the exception of the southwestern
side of the site where the natural deposits was sealed by a layer
of topsoil, from which sherds of pottery ranging from the 11th century
to the 19th century were recovered.
