Natural clayey gravels and brickearth were sealed by natural clay.
On the S side of the site the natural deposits were cut by a NW-SE
aligned channel, which produced finds dated to the 16th/18th c,
and by a late17th/18th c E-W orientated ditch the S side of which
was timber revetted. On the E side of the site three 19th c brick
pads/pier bases were revealed. Modern made ground sealed the site.
