PCA is delighted to announce the appointment of Damian De Rosa as Regional Manager for our Winchester office. Damian starts works with us today, 6th July.
Damian brings significant experience and a strong presence in both the region and the sector. He is looking forward to building on existing relationships while developing new partnerships with clients and consultants to further enhance the office’s capabilities.
Damian will lead the Winchester office alongside our local project management team, which has recently been strengthened by the return of Project Manager Kathryn Brook. Kathryn brings extensive experience and will work closely with existing Project Manager Maisie Marshall to support the continued growth of the team.
Damian’s self-penned bio is as follows:
A professional archaeologist since 1987, having graduated from the Institute of Archaeology UCL, Damian worked for the Department of Urban Archaeology at the Museum of London as a project officer and archaeologist over a six-year period, during which time he also undertook fieldwork in Scotland and Germany. From 1993 to 2005 Damian worked at the Römisch-Germanisches Museum in Cologne, Germany during which time he worked on multiple complex urban sites as well as becoming highly proficient in the German Language.
In 2006 he returned to the UK to further his career in archaeology and became a Project Manager at Wessex Archaeology. Following a return to undertaking fieldwork with Pre-Construct Archaeology in 2011, and Wessex Archaeology as a Project Manager in 2012, he moved to Cotswold Archaeology as a Project Manager in 2014, and was promoted to Principal Fieldwork Manager in 2015. In 2016 he returned to Wessex Archaeology as a Senior Project Manager.
Damian has managed an extensive number of archaeological projects from small scale evaluations to extensive mitigation across a wide range of developments from small to large scale housing developments, retail, industrial and large-scale infrastructure projects.
