Building Assessment

A Building Assessment focuses on a specific building, defining its architectural or historic interest, thereby indicating which elements of a building are more and less sensitive to alteration.

When alterations are proposed, for example as part of a planning application or during conservation work, we recommend a Building Assessment as early as possible in the process to inform the project design team of any potential issues. This will allow a plan of action to be devised which will balance the proposed changes with the long-term conservation of a building.

PCA’s Historic Buildings and Conservation Team offers a range of integrated services to enable clients to develop and refurbish properties in the historic built environment efficiently and economically.
