This tiny piece of gold sheet is all that remains of a pendant or earring, a valuable piece of jewellery in keeping with the high-status burial.

The sarcophagus from Harper Road was the centrepiece of an exhibition called Roman Dead at the Museum of London in 2018, where the woman buried within it and the skeletons of ten other Roman Londoners were displayed along with their grave goods.
