Barking Abbey School recognised that due to the cost of living crisis, both parents and children were struggling to afford food and school uniform so they set up a school food and uniform bank. They had asked for donations from local businesses to support them in buying new stock.
PCA are currently working on a site in Roxwell Road, Barking, and in partnership with our client Jerram Falkus, we were able to organise a £500 donation to the school foodbank in order to help support their project.
Zbigniew Pozorski, from PCA said, “It was an honour to support this school. Knowing that young people were struggling to have sufficient meals really touched us and we are pleased that we have been able to get the opportunity to support a good cause.”
Kat Watkins, Assistant Headteacher said, “Thank you so much! Without the donation from Pre-construct Archaeology some of our young people would have really struggled and this donation has made such a massive difference to some of the pupils lives.”
