We are undertaking archaeological investigations for McAleer & Rushe at Arbor City Hotel in London Aldgate and our first ‘Find of the Week’ from this site is a decorated glazed Medieval floor tile.
While coming from the 14th century it was actually found in modern soil and our archaeological specialists are arguing as to whether the animal in the bottom corner is a bear or a lion!
We’ll be bringing you regular updates from this new excavation in the heart of medieval Whitechapel!
