We’re delighted to welcome a new Regional manager to the Durham office.

Daniel Still has been working in field archaeology for over 25 years. For most of this time, he has worked for a commercial unit in the Archaeology Department at Durham University, where he started as an excavator on the Millennium excavations, Claypath, Durham City in 1999. Daniel has both supervised and managed numerous evaluation and excavation projects, mainly in the North of England. These include excavations of a large-scale Romano-British Villa site at Ingleby Barwick, Ripon Market Place, Marne Barracks, and numerous sites in Durham and Newcastle. From 2005, Daniel was Project Coordinator at Durham, overseeing the smooth organisation and running of operations, including the project coordination, management and assignation for of a wide range of projects nationwide. He has worked with a range of clients across a number of sectors, including house builders, mineral extraction, road bypass schemes, energy providers, renewables, local and national government agencies. More recently Daniel was the Community and Outreach Manager for the Archaeology Department at Durham University, liaising with both community groups and academics.

Daniel has started work today in the Durham office, and is excited about getting to know and becoming part of the PCA team.
